All the items found within the "Filters" area help to find the desired set of companies.
The number of companies obtained with the current search is the one visible at the top in the central part of the screen, "X companies found", where X varies according to the search set.
It is important to remember that some filters are combined with each other in order to find the results that simultaneously satisfy the conditions inserted in both areas.
For example, if you use the "Company name" filter, together with the "Location" filter, you are looking for those leads that correspond to that specific company name and, at the same time, to that geographical position.
How to exclude from the results the selections of some filters: the filters "Location", "Company type", "Public administration", "Innovative Startup" and "Blog" can be used both to filter by including those results in a search, and to exclude the corresponding selections from the current search. In particular, to exclude the selections present, it is sufficient:
select the item that begins with "is not" to exclude companies that meet that search criterion in the "Innovative Startup", "Public Administration" filters;
select one of the items and click the "exclude" button which will appear on the right in the filters "Location", "Company type";
select the desired ATECO categories and click the "exclude selected" button located at the bottom of the filter;
select the item "Without known blog" in the "Blog" filter.
This filter allows you to search the textual content of the corporate websites present in Atoka. It is possible to search for the occurrence of a single word, or a combination of words, or to exclude those companies that have certain words on websites.
For each word entered without quotes, the following are inserted:
singular and plural forms;
all case-insensitive combinations.
It works like an advanced Google search, using the logical operators AND, OR, NOT (also written with the - character) and quotes. In other words:
AND inserts the condition "all these words";
OR inserts the condition "at least one of these words";
"" The words entered inside the quotation marks are searched for exactly in that form, with the same lowercase or uppercase letters indicated;
NOT (or the character - before the word to be excluded, without any space) inserts the condition of "none of these words";
+ inserts the condition "this word must be among all results";
any combination of the operators indicated.
For example, if I enter in the text box:
mechatronics: all companies that have the word mechatronics within the website, even in the plural;
mechatronics OR logistics: all companies that have the word mechatronics or the word logistics on their website, both in plural and singular form;
mechatronics AND logistics: all companies that have all these words: mechatronics and logistics on the website;
"mechatronics" AND "logistics": all companies that have all these words, written exactly in lowercase in this way. "Mechatronics" and "logistics".
mechatronics NOT bodywork (or mechatronics - bodywork): all companies that have the word mechatronics, but not the word bodywork in their website;
mechatronics - bodywork + logistics: all companies that have the word logistics, do not have the word bodywork and may have the word mechatronics on their website.
Once the search has started, the occurrences of the texts that have been entered are shown within each company box of the results:
The keywords are concepts associated with companies, selected on the basis of information extracted from various sources, including:
social media (Facebook and Twitter, etc ...);
corporate purpose of the company;
any Wikipedia pages related to the company.
Keywords are a way to go beyond the taxonomy of ATECO codes, which often only briefly describe the multitude of areas in which a company operates.
Note: it is however advisable to use this filter in combination with the "ATECO" filter.
The filter has suggested general items, which can be added simply by clicking on the individual item.
In the text box at the base of the filter you can enter any keyword: if you wait a few moments during its insertion, you will be supported by an auto-completion, which:
proposes keywords with the same root as the partially typed word;
offers keywords semantically related to the theme of the partially typed word.
Once one or more keywords have been added, two possible ways of using the filter appear at the bottom of the filter:
Any: results will be selected that contain any of the keywords entered in the filter;
All: those results containing all the keywords entered in the filter will be selected.
How to delete a selected keyword: to delete a keyword, simply click on the "x" located to the left of the selected keyword, which can be viewed at the top of the filter.
Let's briefly examine the functionality of the individual filters that have not yet been described:
Your lists It is possible to use the power of Atoka filters within your lists by selecting the desired ones to explore their contents, refine them and produce new lists. You will be able to manage and export your lists on the list page.

ATECO Cerved and ATECO InfoCamere:
ATECO Cerved means the Cerved re-elaboration of the official information coming from InfoCamere regarding the prevalent sector. In most cases, ATECO Cerved corresponds in all respects to ATECO InfoCamere. However, where deemed appropriate, Cerved Group reserves the right to modify or confirm the main activity on the basis of further automatic and editorial checks carried out on official data. For this reason, its use for marketing purposes is recommended.
The ATECO InfoCamere instead corresponds to the official information that the company itself provides to the reference Chamber of Commerce. This means that there may potentially be inconsistencies that ATECO Cerved generally manages to catch. For this reason, we recommend using the ATECO InfoCamere for purely official research.
Prevalent Sector (NACE) is the European statistical classification of economic activities. Similarly to ATECO, you can select companies with a specific code.
